MY BACKGROUND

MORE THAN A PROJECT MANAGER, MORE THAN A PROCESS IMPROVEMENT SPECIALIST

 

I have an undergraduate degree in Business and a graduate degree in Information Systems.

While enrolled in college, I often wondered how to marry the two backgrounds. I had, and still do, a strong passion for both business and technology and did not want to select one field at the expense of not working in the other. So, I decided to pursue project management.

I have program/project management experience and hold the Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification offered by the Project Management Institute.

I also have experience with process improvement and hold the Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB) certification offered by the American Society for Quality.

While working in various industries for several different organizations, I began to notice that processes and procedures required to perform daily operations were extremely redundant and cumbersome.

I questioned why the powers that be implemented so many processes just to seemingly ‘check boxes’. I began counting the number of hours involved in unnecessary procedures and the time it took away from value added tasks.

I decided to channel my energy into positivity, hence the creation of Project Optimize.

Project Optimize is a boutique firm that provides consultative services along with program/project management and process improvement solutions for your organization.

We do more than improve processes and manage projects. We offer our clients intangibles that don’t appear on an invoice.

I am very passionate about helping organizations in all industries and in varying states of maturity to achieve optimal performance and ultimately realize the benefits in their bottom line.
